WHITINSVILLE - Louise A. (Houghton) Yeo, 80, died Monday, November 25, following a brief illness. Her husband, Rensforth W. Yeo, died in 2012. She is survived by her sons Ronald W. Mongeau of Whitinsville and Robert F. Morin, Jr. of Grafton; her daughters, Claudette L. Hudson of Crestview, FLA and Shirley A. Grilli of Whitinsville; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a sister, Ann Baker of Hoosick Falls, NY. She was predeceased by a grandson and her sisters Shirley A. Gonynor and Nancy J. Cousins.

Mrs. Yeo was born October 25, 1933 in Northbridge, a daughter of James E. and Blanche (Gauvin) Houghton. She lived in Uxbridge as a young child, but lived most of her life in Whitinsville, attended Northbridge High School and was a champion swimmer at the Whitin Community Center. She worked at the Whitin Machine Works, the Worcester Telegram and Gazette and at Northbridge High School as a school aide, retiring in 2000.

She enjoyed reading, loved the beach, swimming and sitting in the sun. Mrs. Yeo was a member of the Village Congregational Church in Whitinsville for more than 50 years and sang in the choir for many of those years.

Calling Hours are Friday, November 29, from 5-7pm in the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill St., Whitinsville. Mrs. Yeo's funeral is Saturday, November 30 at 11am at the Village Congregational Church, 5 Church St., Whitinsville. Burial will be at a later date. Services for Elizabeth Houghton, 79, of Church Street will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Weeks Funeral Home, 123 N. Main St., Warsaw.

Burial will be in Lyonsburg Cemetery, Bliss.

A former resident of Warsaw and Bliss, Mrs. Houghton died Sunday (March 6, 1994) in Wyoming County Community Hospital, Warsaw.

Born in Buffalo, the former Elizabeth Brown was a graduate of Arcade High School and Rochester Business Institute.

She and her husband, Franklin, who died in 1979, owned and operated a family farm. She also was employed for 13 years in the Letchworth Central School cafeteria in Gainesville.

Mrs. Houghton was a member of United Church of Warsaw, the church Women's Guild and the Warsaw Monday Club. She also was a member of Bliss Baptist Church and Stebbins Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Pike.

Survivors include a daughter, Marjorie Martin; two sons, Richard C. of Rochester and William D. of Oxnard, Calif; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

BELFAST - William D. "Bill" Houghton, 71, of Route 19, Belfast, passed away Saturday (March 23, 2013) at his home.
He was born Nov. 1, 1941, in Warsaw, a son of the late Franklin and Betty Brown Houghton.
A 10-year resident of the area - previously of Ventura County, Calif., since 1971 and originally of the Bliss area - Bill was a member of Eagle Valley Lodge 1161 in Bliss and was a 32nd-Degree Mason at the Valley of Coudersport, Pa.
He was a self-employed contractor at DBA Bill's Landscaping, beginning in 1976. He then went on to work in the lawn and garden department at Target in Camarillo, Calif. Bill belonged to numerous square-dancing clubs in Ventura County and was a member of the Rambling Squares Camping Club.
He was predeceased by his wife, Darlene Workman Houghton; and a brother, Richard C. Houghton.
Survivors include a sister, Marjorie Houghton of Centerville; three nephews, Jim Young of Freedom, Jeff (Debbie) Young of Rushford and Joe (Griselle) Young of Lantana, Fla; a niece, Jennifer Young of Yorkshire; four grandnieces, Teal Randall and Deanna, Kristyn and Katie Young; a great-grandnephew, Mitchell Randall; and a great-grandniece, Lacey Randall.
Friends of Bill may call from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday (April 6, 2013) at the Weeks Funeral Home, 123 N. Main St., Warsaw. A memorial service will be held following calling hours at noon with his Masonic brothers as celebrants. Burial will take place at a later date in the Lyonsburg Cemetery, Bliss. He was employed at Jen-Coat for over twenty years. Frank leaves his wife of twenty-seven years, Annette A. (Amberlock) Houghton and his children; Frank P. Houghton IV and his wife Juliet Jones of Chicago, IL, Gregory Houghton of West Springfield, Michelle LaBay of Ludlow, Julianne Houghton of Rocky Hill, CT, Jacob B. Houghton and Sarrah S. Houghton both of Woronoco, and two grandchildren, Ava and Julia Parent. He also leaves a sister Donna Rosati and her husband Thomas of Hernando, FL and two brothers William Houghton and his wife Debra of Westfield, and Robert Houghton and his wife Donna of Southwick. Frank enjoyed riding his motorcycle, puzzles, and trivia. He was proud to participate in many patriotic and community events. Frank was a member of The American Legion Post 454 of Westfield, American Legion Riders, Vietnam Veterans Post 219, and The Huntington-Federal Masonic Lodge. Frank was a very social person and could start a conversation with anyone. His goal each day was to make at least one person smile. His memory will live on to the many people whose lives he touched. A memorial service will be held Monday June 6, 2011 at 8 PM at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
