NY, USA, George A Stryker served as a sergeant in the 104th Infantry Regiment, New York during the Civil War.

He enlisted on 22 Oct 1861 at the age of 18 in Co. A, 104th Infantry Regiment New York. He was wounded on 30 Aug 1862 at the 2nd Battle of Bull Run, VA.

He reenlisted in Co. A, on 4 Jan 1864 and was promoted to Full Sergeant on 1 July 1864.

Sgt. Stryker was wounded again on 29 July 1864. He was discharged because of wounds on 30 April 1865 in Buffalo, NY.³

Vancouver, WA, USA, Ray Houghton Sr Ray E Houghton Sr a 20-year resident of the Camas-Washouga! area died Wednesday at the age of 82 Mr Houghton was an advertising salesman for the Camas-Ws ' Post Record for about eight years retired in the mid-1960s “Ray was undoubtedly the best steeihead fisherman 1 ever knew” said Hal Zimmerman owner of the publication “And he was a great storyteller" Mr Houghton was born Dec 22 1894 in Satina Kan and resided at 106 SE Weir St in Camas at the time of his death He was a member of the Presbyterian church and Glen wood Lodge 65 AF&AM in Colorado Survivors include a son Ray E Houghton Jr of Modesto Calif a daughter Winifred Pezoldt of Sacramento Calif three sisters Ef-fie Houghton Mildred Riley and Edith Pate all in Kansas six grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren Services will be at 11 am Saturday at Brown's S toller Memorial Chapel with the Rev John Reynolds officiating Interment will be in Washougal Memorial Cemetery Brown's Stoller Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements
