Coertney Wescott "Coert" Houghton died Jan. 14, 2007, of pneumonia at age 58.
Mr. Houghton was born Sept. 24, 1948, in Berkshire, Conn. He served in the Army in the Vietnam War and received a Purple Heart. He moved in 1982 to Portland, where he was a self-employed painter.
Survivors include his friends, Karen Blaycok, Perry Bruce and Elizabeth Goodell; and goddaughter, Jewella Pierce. Remembrances to Portland VA Medical Center Community Health Hospice. Arrangements by Ross Hollywood.
