ResearchMay 7, 2012Listed is Dick Houghton b.c. 1923, parents Earnest and Clara Houghton. Dick Houghton was a actually a "foster child" of the Houghtons and discovered his real name, John Frederick Carlson, Jr. when he attempted to join the military. This information I am certain of as John was my father in law. I am still trying to uncover his birth parents, but his birth certificate doesn't fit with the information he was told by the Houghtons when he was growing up. I'm not sure, but still hoping that someone in your family may have information.
