R. E. Haughton Dies; Hold Rites Today

Funeral services for Richard Ernest Haughton Sr., of Warwick county who died Monday of a heart attack, will be held at 3:30 p.m. today at the Denbigh Baptist church, with the Rev. Sterling L. Price, pastor of Calvary Baptist church of Newport News, officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. H. P. Lamp. Interment will be in the family plot of the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie C. Haughton; five daughters, Mrs. J. Elwood Reid of Deep Creek Rd., Mrs. E. L. Anderson of Oyster Point, Mrs. W. E. Horton Jr. , of Newport News, Mrs. T. J. Little of Maury Place, Hilton, and Miss Annye Mae L. Haughton of Warwick county; four sons, R. E. Haughton Jr. and J. R. Haughton of Warwick county, Cpl. W. E. Haughton of the U.S. Army in the Pacific and Pfc. C. O.
