Dr. Owen Edward Houghton, for forty years a practicing dentist in Brooklyn, and at one time an Alderman from the Twentieth Ward, died at his home, 126 South Oxford Street, Brooklyn, on Wednesday, in his seventieth year. Dr. Houghton was born in Philadelphia, N.Y., and was graduated from the New York College of Dentistry in 1871. He was one of the organizers of the old Brooklyn Union League Club, and had twice been President of the Brooklyn section of the New York Dental Association. Dr. Houghton is survived by a son, Lieut. Owen E. Houghton, of the 54th United States Coast Artillary, now in France, and two daughters.
