RITES ARE TODAY FOR MRS. EWING

Funeral services for Mrs. R. L. Ewing, 83, 1720 Ave. Q, will be at 2 p.m. today at Rix Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Dudley Strain, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating.

Mrs. Ewing was dead on arrival at Methodist Hospital at 2:40 p.m. Sunday after a heart attack.

A member of the First Christian Church, Mrs. Ewing moved to Lubbock from Floydada in 1928. She had lived in Waco before moving to Floydada in 1907.

Burial will be in Floydada Cemetery under the direction of Rx Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Ted Houghton, Cone'; two daughters, Mrs. J. F. Perryman, Austin, and Miss Edna Houghton, 2814 35th St; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be F. A. Kleinschmidt, J. Harmon Jenkins, S. E. Marbutt, Jake Abbott, C. D. Abbott, and C. E. Garrett.
