HOLLISTON - Catherine (Cole) Houghton, 85, former resident, died in the Sudbury Pines Nursing Homes. She had lived in Marlboro four years.
The daughter of Edward and Alice (Doo) Cole, she was born in Dorchester, New Brunswick, Canada. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Holliston and a former member of the First Baptist Church Ladies' Society.
She leaves her husband, Leon L. Houghton, one daughter, Alice Hulbert of Sudbury, and two sons, Paul D. of Framingham, and John E. of New Shrewsbury, N.J., 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The Houghtons were Gold Star parents . Their son Robert, was killed in Europe during World War II.
Funeral services will be held at the Clesmore Funeral Home, Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Stanley Washburn of the First Baptist Church officiating.

ORANGE CITY -- Paul D. Houghton, 87, of Maple Court, who retired from commercial sales for Natural Gas Co., died Friday at Majestic Oaks at John Knox Village.

Mr. Houghton, who served in the Marine Corps Reserves, was born in New Brunswick. He came here in 1980 from Framingham, Mass. He attended Orange City United Methodist Church. He enjoyed woodworking.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Elizabeth; two daughters, Natalie Keller, Mendon, Vt., and Ruth Ellsworth, Randolph, Vt; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Alavon Direct Cremation, South Daytona, is in charge.³
