Longtime Anchorage resident John Houghton Howarth, 95, died March 24, 2008, at the Mary Conrad Center.

A private family memorial service will be held in Anchorage.

Chaplain Howarth was born Feb. 28, 1913, in Alexandria Bay, N.Y.
