Sept. 1, 1918–Oct. 23, 2013 Lee "Maurice" Houghton, age 95, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Prestige Centre.
Funeral Services for Maurice will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Richard Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 25, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to H.A.T.S., Isabella County Commission on Aging, or to Woodland Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel. Maurice was born on September 1, 1918 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of John and Mary (Taylor) Houghton. Maurice proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. during W.W.II. He married Eugenia Janusz on February 18, 1946 in Milwaukee, WI. He worked for several contractors for over 30 years and at Central Michigan University as the head mason for 15 years. Maurice was a member of the Masons and loved to go fishing in Canada, work with his hands, and garden, both vegetables and flowers. Maurice is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jean; children, Lynn (Blake) Marr of Mt. Pleasant, Brian (Julie) Houghton of Big Rapids, and daughter-in-law, Barb Houghton of Mt. Pleasant; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Elaine Wood of Midland; and many nieces and nephews.
Maurice was preceded in death by his son, Lee Maurice Houghton, Jr. in 1977; parents; four brothers; and one sister.

Houghton Eugenia “Jean” Esther; age 88; of Mt. Pleasant; passed away Friday, September 25, 2015, at the Prestige Centre in Mt. Pleasant under the care of Great Lakes Caring Hospice. Funeral Services for Jean will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Monday, September 28, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ron Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. A Luncheon will be held at the Reflections Reception Center following the committal service. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 4 until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice, Humane Animal Treatment Society, or Isabella County Soup Kitchen. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel. Jean was born on December 13, 1926 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Roman and Frances (Marunowski) Janusz. She married Lee Maurice Houghton, Sr. on February 18, 1946 in Milwaukee, WI. Jean worked for Giantway Warehouse for over 18 years. Jean loved her cats, reading, crossword puzzles, cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Jean is survived by her children, Lynn (Blake) Marr of Mt. Pleasant, Brian (Julie) Houghton of Big Rapids, and daughter-in-law, Barb Houghton of Mt. Pleasant; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and brother, Richard Janusz of Milwaukee, WI. Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Lee Maurice Houghton, Sr. in 2013; son, Lee Maurice Houghton, Jr. in 1977; and parents. HOUGHTON, WELBIE, Mr. Welbie Elton "Jim" Houghton, 88, of Oak Run Boulevard, Kissimmee went to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday, March 30, 2009 surrounded by his family. Welbie was born in Hillman, MI, on October 21, 1920, the son of the late John Donald and Mary Blanche (Taylor) Houghton. Jim was a brick mason by trade in commercial and residential construction. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and was a recipient of the "Purple Heart". He was a member of Bible Baptist Church, Kissimmee, FL. Throughout his life Jim had a strong desire to serve the Lord, serving as a Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, Trustee, Youth, College and Senior Citizens worker. He also helped in the church print shop making Bibles for other countries and assisted in building churches. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Betty Jane (Clark) Houghton to whom he was married 65 years; two daughters, Daya J., wife of Gary Patton of Rochester, NY and Joy E., wife of Carlos Woosley of Land O' Lakes, FL; a son, John C. Houghton of Kissimmee; daughter- in- law, Linda M., wife of deceased son, William K. Houghton of Bartow, FL; a sister, Elaine Wood of Midland, MI; brother, Maurice of Mt. Pleasant, MI. Jim is also survived by grandchildren, Jeff, Chris, Joshua, Amy, Jeremy, Fawn, Jill, Carmen, Will, Welbie and 15 great-grandchildren. Jim was also preceded in death by brothers, Jack, Bill and Scott Houghton and a sister, Eleanor Nelson. Friends are invited to call Thursday, 5:30-8PM, at Osceola Memory Gardens. Funeral services will be held at Bible Baptist Church, 10AM, Friday, April 3rd, with Reverend Rick Flowers, officiating.
