BiographyMoses Stearns married Ruth Houghton June 13, 1754, and settled in Westminster, Mass. He removed to Walpole, N. H., previous to the Revolution, and
purchased, a farm of Benjamin Bellows. That farm remained in the possession of Moses Stearns and his descendants for 90 years. He died in 1808, aged 80. The family has now become extinct in Walpole.

John Fuller, son of Joseph4 and Abigail (Putnam) Fuller,
was horn in Middleton, Mass., September 15, 1731, married
in Lunenburg, Maes., December 18, 1755, Prudence Gibson,
daughter of James and Hannah (Goodridge) Gibson, He
was for many years a prominent man in the affairs of the town,
aia selectman, &c. Was a member of the legislature from 1787
to 1792. Was a delegate to the convention for ratifying the
Constitution of the United States in 1788, and captain in the
4th Mass. Regiment during the Revolution.
A very fine tree still standing on the common in Lunenburg
was planted by him July 4, 1776. It is a sycamore, or as it
is more commonly called, button-ball, and is a large and very
symmetrical tree. It was planted on the day of the signing of
the Declaration of Independence, and zealously guarded by
"( apt. John." The village church stood on the dame common.
In those days people from a distance came on horseback, and
a tree was a convenient hitehmg-pluce. From Ins seat in church
dipt. John could see this tree, and if any one tied his horse to
it be ipiietly stole out of the church and cut the halter. So the
tree was saved, has celebrated its one-hundredth birthday, and
but just begins to show sisms of old age.
September 5, 1756, John Fuller renewed his baptismal covenant.
October 17, 17515, his wife Prudence renewed her baptismal
covenant, and both were admitted to full communion
October 10, 17U2. He died in Lunenburg, February 4,1801.
The epitaph on bin gravestone is as follows:
" Iluar what the voice from Heaven proclaims
For all the pious dead.
Sweet is the savour of their names
And soft their sleeping bed."

She died February 27, 1801. Epitaph :
" Let sorrow change to sacred mirth
Know God in love hath given
The pure in heart, who mourns on earth
Perpetual smiius in Heaven.11

died April 16, 17H7, and she married 2d, Feb. 13, 1791,
Andrew Kimball of Ridge, N. H. No children.
90 Elizabeth, bom Oct 21, 1704; married July 5, 1792,
Joshua Kimball, son of Major Thomas Kimball, who married
her sister Abigail. She died April 19, 1796. Children:

BiographyHe was a farmer and owned 100 acres of land. He was active in town affairs and was on the school committee, 1801 to 1808. He was the tax collector in 1796 and again in 1816, and a constable of Lunnenburg in 1816.10
